About Us

Above The Timberline, LLC was created by Sydney Lewis and Dustin Krier in 2023.  The idea came by chance during a trip to North Carolina's Outer Banks in December of 2022. While waiting on a dock for a ferry, a gust of wind blew one of Sydney's favorite Colorado themed hats off of her head and into the ocean.  Being December, water temperatures were not favorable to jump in and grab it. Other attempts were made to retrieve the hat, including making a deal with a local to come back in a few days to see if the hat had washed up on shore. 

Fortunately the hat was never recovered! After much deliberation between the two, Above The Timberline, LLC was born. 

Living most of their adult lives in Colorado, they are excited to introduce a brand that encompasses the pride felt for the state of Colorado, the love of being outdoors, the beauty of the mountains, and urban living at a mile high.
